KUCHING, Apr 1: The Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Wan Junaidi Tuanku gives his full support on the development of the skills sector in education.
This was expressed by Tun during a courtesy call by Kuching Skills College (KSC) at the Astana Negeri here today.
“The visit also aims to update the current developments of the college as it enters its eighth establishment.
“From the visit, Tun Pehin Sri Dr.Wan Junaidi placed a big focus on Technical and Vocational Educational and Training,” KSC CEO Novert Sullan told reporters when met after the one-hour visit.
Sullan added that the Sarawak Governor envisions KSC to empower youths in those sectors, especially youths residing in rural areas.
“Tun has been giving us full support since years ago, and from this visit, it is hoped the college will be more active in aiding Sarawakian youths in education,” he said.
Also present during the visit were KSC’s Head of Academics and Trainning, Siti Khairunissa, as well as its Senior Instructors, Fariburz Kandai and Jespa Langki.
Kuching Skills College currently offers Diploma programmes such as Diploma of Culinary Arts, Vocational Training Charitable Trust (VTCT) Hospitality Diploma as well as IR4 Makerspace Upskilling Programmes.-TVS
