KUCHING, Feb 27: The Borneo Energy Transition Conference (BETC) is set to return for the second instalment in 2026.
The matter was announced by Chief Executive Officer of SEDC Energy (SEDCE), Robert Hardin during his closing remarks of BETC 2024.
“BETC 2024 marked a pivotal moment in advancing the new energy sector, with insightful discussions led by eight distinguished speakers and six panelists.
“Their contributions enriched understanding and paved the way for innovative solutions,” said Hardin.
Similarly, Hardin expressed pride in the collective strides made during BETC 2024 and underscored the importance of pushing boundaries to shape the future of energy.
“Among the highlights of the conference was the exchange of crucial documents which include agreements such as the Sarawak Hydrogen Hub with Gentari Sdn Bhd; the Joint Development Agreement with Samsung Engineering, Lotte Chemical, and Korea National Oil Corporation (KNOC) and collaboration with Sarawak Metro.
“These agreements underscored the dedication to harnessing the potential of new energy sources,” he added.
The announcement of BETC 2026 signals continued commitment to advancing the new energy sector and fostering collaboration among stakeholders. -TVS
