KUCHING, Oct 7 : Delegates from the US Embassy to Malaysia led by Ambassador Brian McFeeters today joined in the traditional Sarawakian Ngajat dance, to laughter and applause.

The Ngajat dance, preceded by a pipe blowing performance, was to welcome the delegates during their visit to the Sarawak Biodiversity Centre in the second day of their first official visit to Sarawak.

The delegates were then led by members of the Sarawak Biodiversity Centre to a tour around the facility, where they learned about the native plant life of Sarawak and the important conservation works being done at the centre.

US Ambassador Brian McFeeters previously met with Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, to discuss the United States’ commitment to help Sarawak achieve its goal of environmental sustainability and green energy. – TVS
